Chelsea : Entre Jackson, Guiu et Nkunku, Maresca a tranché !

La récente performance de Christopher Nkunku a relancé le débat au poste d’avant-centre à Chelsea. Certains fans des Blues préfèrent le Français, d’autres veulent voir Nicolas Jackson ou Marc Guiu titulaire. Du côté du staff, l’entraîneur Enzo Maresca semble déjà choisi son n°9.

Arrivé de Leipzig, il y a un an, pour concurrencer l’international sénégalais, Christopher Nkunku a été freiné par des blessures à répétition. Une situation qui a profité à Nicolas Jackson, titulaire habituel au poste d’avant-centre la saison dernière.

Pour mettre un peu plus la pression sur l’ancien du Casa Sports, les dirigeants des Blues sont allés chercher un certain Marc Guiu au FC Barcelone. Résultat : Chelsea se retrouve avec trois potentiels titulaires. Sans compter des ailiers de grande classe qui peuvent dépanner à ce poste.

« À l’heure actuelle, Nicolas est notre attaquant »

Lors de la précédente journée, c’est Nkunku qui avait libéré les Blues. Entré en cours de jeu, il avait marqué l’unique but de la partie contre Bournemouth (1-0).

Entre le Français, l’Espagnol et le Sénégalais, qui est le patron en attaque ? L’entraîneur de Chelsea n’a pas hésité à donner sa réponse.

« À l’heure actuelle, Nicolas (Jackson) est notre attaquant, je n’ai aucun doute au regard de la manière dont il travaille tous les jours. Depuis le début de la saison, nous utilisons Nicolas devant. Son style répond parfaitement à notre manière de jouer. Mais ça ne veut pas dire qu’on n’utilisera pas Marc (Guiu) ou Christopher en numéro 9. On peut toujours changer. Cela dépendra des matchs», a expliqué le technicien ce vendredi en conférence de presse.

« Nous sommes très heureux avec lui »

« Actuellement, nous sommes très heureux avec Nicolas. Ses chiffres de cette saison et ceux de la saison dernière sont importants. Il va très bien, que ce soit à l’entraînement ou lors des matchs. Il a été très bon à City (défaite 2-0). Il a marqué et fait une passe décisive contre Wolverhampton (6-2). Contre Crystal Palace, il s’est battu jusqu’au bout. Il a bien joué contre Bournemouth. Il a eu deux ou trois occasions, mais parfois, quand on rate des occasions, ça ne veut pas dire qu’on ne joue pas bien », ajoute Maresca.

Auteur de 2 réalisations cette saison, celui qui a déjà marqué 19 buts et délivré 7 passes décisives sous les couleurs de Chelsea depuis son arrivée, devrait connaître une nouvelle titularisation, ce samedi contre West Ham.
