À l’image de l’élite française, la saison 2024-2025 de Ligue 2 va débuter ce vendredi 16 août 2024 et s’achèvera le 10 mai 2025. Ils sont une trentaine de Sénégalais en lice pour décrocher les deux sésames, qui donnent droit à l’accès direct en Ligue 1.
Relégué cette saison au purgatoire, le FC Metz compte le plus grand nombre de joueurs sénégalais. Ils sont une dizaine à évoluer sous les couleurs des Grenats, au nom du partenariat avec l’académie Génération Foot.
Il s’agit notamment de deux gardiens de but Ousmane Ba et Pape Sy, mais également des joueurs de champ comme Sadibou Sané, Aboubacar Lô, Cheikh Sabaly, Alpha Touré, Papa Amadou Diallo, Malick Mbaye, Pape Moussa Fall et Ibou Sané.
Cependant, le Clermont Foot avec son quatuor de Sénégalais, Mory Diaw, Massamba Ndiaye, Baïla Diallo et Henri Saivet, tentera également de vite retrouver l’élite française. Le FC Lorient avec Formose Mendy et Bamba Dieng aspire certainement au même objectif.
