LDC CAF : Adversaire de TFC, Stade d’Abidjan misera sur l’expérience pour l’exploit à Thiès

Teungueth FC a décroché un bon résultat sur la pelouse du Stade d’Abidjan (1-1), samedi 17 août 2024, dans le cadre du premier tour des éliminatoires de la Ligue africaine des champions. Le coach adjoint des Yéyés, Esmel Gnagne, est loin d’être satisfait du résultat malgré la physionomie du match et espère récupérer ses joueurs expérimentés pour le prochain match.

Le Teungueth FC est à un pas d’une qualification au second tour des éliminatoires de la C1 africaine. À défaut d’un succès, les protégés de Sidate Sarr peuvent se contenter d’un match nul vierge pour continuer l’aventure.

Les partenaires d’Abdoulie Kah ne vont certainement pas laisser passer cette opportunité, après avoir décroché un point important sur la pelouse du stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny à Abidjan. Mais, ça ne va être une partie de plaisir.

Gbohouo, Diomandé, Aka Essis et Cheick Moukoro attendus au retour

Sur ce match aller, le Stade d’Abidjan n’a pas présenté son équipe au complet, d’après le coach adjoint Esmel Gnagne, qui a supplée sur le banc le Français Alexandre Lafitte, faute de Licence A CAF. Le portier international ivoirien et champion d’Afrique 2015, Sylvain Gbohouo, Tidiane Diomandé, Baudelaire Aka Essis et Cheick Moukoro n’ont pas pris part à cette rencontre.

«Un entraîneur souhaite avoir tout son monde. Mais il y a souvent des pépins physiques qui empêchent d’aligner certains. C’est le cas d’Aka Essis et de Tidiane Diomandé qui sont blessés. On espère les récupérer pour le prochain match face à Teungueth FC», a soutenu, au micro de sport-ivoire.ci, le technicien ivoirien, soulignant qu’il aimerait aligner Sylvain Gbohouo. En attendant une réponse de l’administration sur ce joueur avec qui ils ont fait le travail de pré-saison.

«Nous ne sommes pas satisfaits…»

Revenant sur les enseignements de ce match nul concédé à domicile, l’entraîneur du Stade d’Abidjan n’a pas caché sa déception. Cependant, il déclare être soulagé, eu égard à la physionomie de la rencontre. «On est obligé d’accepter le résultat, mais nous ne sommes pas satisfaits. Nous avons dominé toute la partie et contre le cours du jeu, on prend un but. Mais on ne s’est pas découragé parce qu’on savait qu’on pouvait marquer à tout moment et c’est ce qui s’est passé. Après, au regard du déroulé, on peut être soulagé», souligne-t-il.

Le match retour, comptant pour le premier tour des éliminatoires de la C1, est prévu le samedi 24 août 2024, au stade Lat Dior de Thiès.
