Liga le nombre de sénégalais

À l’instar des autres championnats majeurs européens (Angleterre, France, Allemagne et Italie), l’Espagne s’apprête à débuter sa nouvelle saison. Ainsi, la Liga est de retour ce jeudi avec 8 Sénégalais en lice, dont Mikayil Faye (Barça), qui espère être de la partie, et Assane Diao (18 ans). Le jeune ailier gauche du Real Betis, natif de Ndangane, défend pour le moment les couleurs de l’Espagne.

Le Bétis Séville compte le plus gros contingent sénégalais cette saison dans le championnat d’élite espagnole. Il s’agit notamment du « vétéran » Youssouf Sabaly, qui a annoncé sa retraite internationale il y a quelques mois, du jeune prometteur Nobel Mendy et de l’Hispano-Sénégalais Assane Diao.

Promu cette saison dans ce championnat, le Real Valladolid CF enregistre la présence de deux Sénégalais : Amath Ndiaye et Mamadou Sylla.

Considéré comme l’un des talents les plus prometteurs du FC Barcelone et grand espoir du football, le Sénégalais Mikayil Ngor Faye (20 ans), qui a brillé de mille feux avec la réserve, va certainement faire ses grands débuts en Liga espagnole. Le Lion de Sédhiou pourrait d’ailleurs devenir le premier Sénégalais a jouer le Clasico FC Barcelone / Real Madrid.

La première manche aura lieu le week-end du 27 octobre à Santiago Bernabéu (13e journée) et la deuxième, le week-end du 11 mai en Catalogne. Potentiellement, dans le nouveau Camp Nou, pour le compte de la 35e journée.
