Caméra isolée…Dans l’enfer du stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya

Pelouse “difficile”, jets de bouteilles, public hostile, chaleur…Les Lions ont eu chaud au stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya de Nouakchott, ce dimanche 9 juin 2024 contre la Mauritanie (1-0), lors de la 4e journée des éliminatoires du Mondial 2026.

C’était un jeu à plusieurs enjeux. D’abord, le Sénégal devait se racheter après le nul face à la RD Congo (1-1) à Diamniadio. En face, la Mauritanie avait comme objectif de l’emporter et se relancer, surtout après la défaite face au Soudan (2-0).

Mauritanie / Sénégal, c’est aussi un derby entre voisins. Un match d’éliminatoires de Coupe du monde. Du côté des Mourabitounes, certains jouaient gros. Ils voulaient montrer à tout le monde qu’ils avaient leurs places au sein de l’équipe nationale du Sénégal.

Le tacle “assassin” de Khadim Diaw sur Habib Diarra

Justement, des joueurs comme Khadim Diaw (ancien de Génération Foot), Pape Ibnou Ba (ancien du Jaraaf et de la Linguère) et Aboubakar Koita (natif de Pikine), nés au Sénégal avant de choisir la Mauritanie à cause de la forte concurrence dans la Tanière, disputaient un match particulier. Tous titulaires, ils n’ont voulu rien lâcher.

En défense, Khadim était intenable sur son côté gauche. Il a même été à l’origine de la blessure avant la pause d’Habib Diarra. Un tacle dangereux qui a provoqué “une entorse au genou” du Strasbourgeois.

En attaque, Pape Ibnou a longtemps provoqué la défense centrale des Lions. Heureusement pour le Sénégal, Kalidou Koulibaly, Abdou Diallo et Abdoulaye Seck ont été imperturbables. De son côté, le Pikinois Aboubakar Koita a tout essayé, à l’image de cette lourde frappe en première période qui a caressé la barre transversale d’Edouard Mendy.

De la folie dans les gradins, des jets de bouteilles…

Dans les gradins, les supporters mauritaniens étaient intenables. C’était la folie. Pour un stade d’une capacité de 9 000 places, c’était prévisible. Tout au long de la rencontre, ils ont essayé d’intimider les Lions.

Les supporters ont annoncé la couleur, deux heures avant le coup d’envoi. Le stade était déjà plein à craquer. L’ouverture du score d’Habib Diallo à la 27e minute a un peu climatisé le stade, mais en seconde période, les quelques actions mauritaniennes ont réveillé les supporters.

Dans les arrêts de jeu, ils ont même commencé à jeter des bouteilles sur la pelouse pour intimider les Lions. Mais l’essentiel était déjà fait.

“Un vrai match de football africain”

“On savait que ça allait être une rencontre difficile, il était nécessaire d’être présent. Nous avons démontré mentalement notre force face à ceux qui avaient des doutes sur notre capacité mentale”, a déclaré Aliou Cissé en conférence de presse.

Même analayse en zone mixte de Kalidou Koulibaly. “On voulait absolument gagner et on a montré de bonnes choses. On a marqué un très beau but et puis on a su rester solide derrière grâce à notre grand gardien et à nos défenseurs. On a fait un pressing depuis le début du match et ça a payé. On a été solide et on a fait un vrai match de football africain”.

  1072. Article bien libellè sauf que par rapport aux jets de bouteilles ,les supporters ètaient mècontents des decisions arbitrales pas autres choses. Pour ce qui est des Lions ,ils m’ont jamais ètè intimider durant toute la rencontre.
