Metz : La première victoire de l’année « made in Senegal »

Sans victoire depuis le 9 décembre face à Dunkerque (2-0), le FC Metz a retrouvé le chemin de la victoire ce samedi 18 janvier lors de la 19e journée de Ligue 2 en s’imposant à domicile face à Paris FC (3-1). Une première victoire de l’année 2025 acquise grâce aux Sénégalais venus de Génération Foot. Ils étaient cinq au coup d’envoi.

En défense, la paire Sadibou Sané – Abou Lo a tenu bon face aux attaquants parisiens. En attaque, le trio Cheikh Tidiane Sabaly, Papa Amadou Diallo, Idrissa Guèye a régalé. Ce dernier, arrivé de Déni Biram Ndao en septembre dernier, a fêté sa première titularisation avec Metz par un but (55’). Sa première sous ses nouvelles couleurs.

Doublé de Papa Diallo, Idrissa Guèye s’illustre déjà

Comparé à Olivier Giroud par son directeur sportif, Idrissa confirme déjà les attentes placées en lui. Il avait fait ses grands débuts, il y a une semaine, en disputant 12 minutes face à Lorient (0-0). Son arrivée a fait du bien à l’attaque messine qui restait sur quatre matchs sans marquer.

L’homme du match est sans doute Papa Amadou Diallo. C’est lui qui a assommé l’adversaire avec un doublé (16’, 71’). Il n’avait plus marqué depuis le 25 octobre à Guingamp (1-0). C’est également son premier doublé avec Metz depuis qu’il a débarqué en Lorraine en février 2023.

Avec ce succès, Metz (34 pts) remonte à la 2e place et revient à égalité avec le leader Lorient  qui se déplace à Dunkerque, ce soir.
