L’équipe de Gouney Penc entre dans l’histoire des phases régionales de Dakar. Le représentant de l’ODCAV de Pikine a battu (1-2 a.p.) en finale Idéal de Rufisque sur sa pelouse de Ngalandou Diouf, en finale, jouée jeudi 16 janvier 2025.
Gouney Penc succède à Farba de Keur Massar au palmarès des phases régionales de Dakar.
L’équipe du département de Pikine a sorti le grand jeu pour doucher supporters et joueurs de la formation d’Idéal de Keury Souf qui visait un titre honorifique régional.
Pourtant, Idéal a ouvert le score par Ansou Konaté, en première période.
Ce but n’a pas du tout freiné les ardeurs et le comportement des joueurs de Gouney Penc qui ont pu remettre les pendules à l’heure, grâce à Matar Arame Sèye (63′).
Sous les yeux du parrain Bocar Alpha Khouma dit Pape Sow, maire de Sangalkam, en présence du président de l’ONCAV Amadou Kane et celui du Casa Sports Seydou Sané, les deux équipes se sont quittées sur ce score de parité au temps réglementaire (1-1).
C’est lors des prolongations que l’équipe visiteuse (Gouney Penc) a levé tout suspense, en renversant son homologue d’Idéal, suite à une reprise de tête de Birane Ndiaye (2-1, 103′).
Renversée, l’équipe d’Idéal ne pourra plus revenir brisant le rêve de ses supporters qui espéraient faire un doublé, après avoir remporté la finale de la Zone 1D (1-0) face à Bokk Jom de champ de courses.
