La Sonacos a été saignée cet été. Le club diourbellois a perdu la quasi-totalité de son ossature de la saison passée. C’est le coach Sidate Sarr qui a été le premier à lever l’ancre. Moins d’une semaine après la fin de la saison, le technicien a rejoint Teungueth FC, champion du Sénégal. Pratiquement tous ses hommes-clés, grands artisans de la sixième place, ont ensuite quitté le navire.
L’arrière gauche Stanislas Sarr (20 ans), le défenseur central Khalifa Ababacar Ba (20 ans), les milieux Pape Musa Chaw (20 ans) et Ibrahima Diouf (19 ans) sont partis au Luxembourg. L’ailier Souleymane Ndione est lui resté au Sénégal. Il a signé au Jaraaf où il s’est rapidement intégré. Pour le remplacer, les Diourbellois ne sont pas allés chercher loin. Ils ont recruté Cheikh Ndiaye, milieu offensif de Baol Center Sports (BCS). L’excellent gardien Amar Fall a, lui, déposé sa valise à l’AS Pikine. Sadièye Tall arrive à la Sonacos pour le suppléer. Lui aussi évoluait à Baol Center Sports. Il a été élu meilleur gardien des phases nationales de navétanes 2023.
Le club de Diourbel annonce par ailleurs la signature de Aliou Sène, milieu de terrain de l’AS Kaffrine.
