L’association sénégalaise des Managers du Sport (ASMAS) va en Assemblée générale (AG) de renouvellement le 4 mai 2024. D’ores et déjà, la campagne s’intensifie entre les deux candidats, à savoir Cheikh Oumar Aïdara et Ibrahima Fall. Le président sortant, Samsidine Diatta, veut des élections apaisées.
Président de la structure depuis 2015, en remplacement de Boubacar Gaye, actuel président de la Fédération sénégalaise de Triathlon (FSTri), Samsidine Diatta ne compte pas briguer un troisième mandat à la tête de l’ASMAS.
«J’ai décidé de ne pas solliciter un troisième mandat à ma propre succession, pour avoir épuisé mes deux mandats olympiques. Toutefois, je rappelle à l’ensemble des membres et aux candidats déclarés, tout simplement, d’être strictement dans le cadre de projets et de programmes, d’avoir le sens de la mesure et de la responsabilité et surtout de ne pas se verser dans les émotions et dans l’interprétation pendant la campagne», prône Samsidine Diatta.
Le président sortant poursuit en demandant aux candidats de développer en profondeur leurs programmes, chacun en ce qui le concerne – en prenant comme supports l’éthique et les valeurs du sport.
«Je demande aux candidats de bien planifier pour une passation de pouvoirs dans les normes et de donner des orientations nouvelles pour répondre aux exigences nouvelles. Mais surtout, de prendre l’attache du ministère de la Jeunesse, des Sports et de la Culture pour évaluer l’impact de l’ASMAS sur ce département ministériel et ses partenaires comme les fédérations sportives», recommande le manager sportif qui a dirigé la structure pendant 9 ans.
