Génération Foot se maintient Diambars relégué

Le champion sortant ne sera pas relégué en Ligue 2 comme ce fut le cas avec Pikine (2015), Douanes (2016) et Gorée (2017). Génération Foot a finalement décroché son maintien, ce samedi 8 juin, lors de la 26e et dernière journée de Ligue 1. Les Grenats n’avaient besoin que d’un match nul face à Diambars, concurrent direct dans la course au maintien. Ils n’ont pas tremblé.

Serigne Saliou Faye, d’un joli tir, ouvre le score à la 23e minute. Même si Momar Diop Seydi manque l’occasion de doubler la mise en ratant un penalty à la 32e minute, Génération Foot mettra en seconde période le but du 2-0 grâce à Karfala Camara (60e). Lui aussi a mis une grosse patate imparable.

Pour Diambars, champion de Ligue 1 en 2013, c’est la 2e relégation en Ligue 2. Le club de Saly avait déjà été contraint de descendre à l’échelon inférieur en 2018.

Qui accompagne les Académiciens en Ligue 2 ? Ce sera entre Casa Sports et Stade de Mbour. Même la Ligue ne sait pas encore malheureusement alors que la saison est terminée.

A Ziguinchor comme à Mbour, chaque camp jubile mais en réalité ne sait sur quel pied danser. Cela se joue sur le terrain administratif et tout le monde est suspendu à l’appel du Jaraaf au niveau de la commission de recours de la Fédération sénégalaise de football.

Si cette instance déboute les Médinois, Casa Sports jouera la saison prochaine en Ligue 2. Si elle statue en faveur du Jaraaf et infirme les verdicts rendus par la commission de discipline de la Ligue pro, Stade de Mbour accompagnera Diambars. Et pour la première fois, il n’y aura donc pas de club du département de Mbour en Ligue 1.
