C’est officiel. Abdoulaye Niakhaté est un joueur du Stade Brestois. Le défenseur central sénégalais est prêté par Troyes avec option d’achat. Le nouveau n°3 brestois disputera pour la première fois de sa carrière la Ligue des champions. Passé par Lyon et Bastia, l’ancien capitaine des U20 et U23 du Sénégal va également découvrir la Ligue 1 française

« La saison dernière, c’est sous le maillot de l’ESTAC Troyes qu’Abdoulaye N’Diaye a confirmé tout son potentiel. Malgré une saison délicate sur le plan sportif avec la relégation du club champenois, le jeune défenseur a disputé 31 matches sur 38 possibles, portant même le brassard de capitaine à 5 reprises. Une régularité impressionnante pour un joueur de 22 ans, récompensée par une première sélection avec le Sénégal, face au Niger le 8 janvier dernier », lit-on sur le site du club.
