La Confédération africaine de Football a dévoilé, ce jeudi 24 octobre 2024, les dix nommés pour le Trophée de meilleur jeune joueur africain de l’année 2024. Dans cette liste, on retrouve deux Sénégalais. Il s’agit du lauréat de la dernière édition dans cette catégorie : Lamine Camara.
Arrivé à Monaco cet été en provenance du FC Metz, le joueur formé à Génération Foot s’est imposé comme un titulaire indiscutable au sein du club monégasque.
Autre Sénégalais nommé : El Hadji Malick Diouf. International sénégalais depuis septembre, le piston gauche du Slavia Prague compte 5 buts avec le club tchèque depuis le début de l’exercice.
Les deux Lions seront en concurrence avec Carlos Baleba (Cameroun), Karim Konaté (Côte d’Ivoire), Oumar Diakité (Côte d’Ivoire), Yankuba Minteh (Gambie), Abdul Aziz Issah (Ghana), Bilal El Khannouss (Maroc), Eliesse Ben Seghir (Maroc) et Amanallah Memmiche (Tunisie).
