Les Lions prêts à faire face à des Léopards « redoutables » (Niakhaté)

Ce lundi, Moussa Niakhaté rassure que les Lions ne minimisent pas les Léopards, qui ont des attaquants redoutables. Le défenseur international fait cette mise au point avant la confrontation Sénégal – RD Congo (RDC), jeudi, à Diamniadio.

« La RD Congo a beaucoup d’attaquants redoutables, comme Simon Banza et Yoane Wissa, » a déclaré Niakhaté. « Je connais Simon Banza contre qui j’ai joué pendant plusieurs années quand il était à Lens et moi à Valenciennes. Pareil pour Yoane Wissa qui joue à Brentford. Je l’ai affronté souvent avec Nottingham Forest. Ce sont des joueurs qu’on connaît tous ici et on connaît leurs qualités », indique Moussa Niakhaté.

Le défenseur de Nottingham Forest ne perd pas de vue les performances des Léopards lors de la dernière Coupe d’Afrique en Côte d’Ivoire. « Ils ont fait une très bonne compétition, en février, en Côte d’Ivoire. Forcément, il faudra prendre en compte leurs qualités, mais il faudra être très concentrés et rigoureux, » a-t-il ajouté. « Je pense que si nous sommes à notre meilleur niveau, nous assisterons à un grand match jeudi, » a-t-il affirmé avec confiance.

En ce qui concerne l’état d’esprit au sein du groupe, Niakhaté s’est montré très positif. « Le groupe est très bien. Ça fait une semaine qu’on a repris les entraînements et on a fait une très très bonne semaine. le groupe est très concentré et conscient de l’enjeu de ces deux prochains matchs qui sont très importants pour la Coupe du monde. Ce sont deux derniers matchs de la saison pour tout le monde, mais on a à cœur de bien finir cette saison », a-t-il expliqué.
