Arrivé cette saison à l’AJ Auxerre pour trois ans, Ibrahima Kanouté n’a pas tardé à devenir un pilier important de la défense de son équipe. Le latéral droit, originaire de Guinguinéo (Kaolack), a brillé de mille feux lors de la victoire écrasante de son équipe contre Grand Besançon FC (8-2), en championnat régional, dimanche 22 décembre 2024, avec les U16. Utilisé comme piston droit, il a marqué un but avant de délivrer une passe décisive.
