Ligue 1 (11e J.) : Teungueth FC retrouve la tête suite au revers de Dakar SC

Teungueth FC devient leader de la Ligue 1 (crédit TFC)

Tenu en échec à domicile par l’AS Pikine (0-0), dimanche 7 janvier 2024, au stade Ngalandou Diouf, comptant pour la 11e journée de Ligue 1, Teungueth FC retrouve le fauteuil de leader après la défaite de Dakar SC face à Génération Foot (0-2).

Battu à l’extérieur par le Casa Sports lors de la précédente journée (3-2), Teungueth FC voulait renouer avec le succès. Mais, les Rufisquois calent chez eux face à une équipe de l’AS Pikine bien en place en première période.

Les joueurs de Teungueth FC ont beau tenter mais n’arrivent pas à trouver la mire. Les partenaires de Mbaye Jacques Ndiaye ont fait montre d’une précipitation accrue. Ce qui les a empêchés de réussir leurs tentatives. 

De leur côté, les Pikinois, contraints au nul chez par Génération Foot (0-0, 10e j.), voulaient profiter des erreurs défensives rufisquoises pour devancer l’adversaire au tableau d’affichage. Finalement, Teungueth FC et AS Pikine se quittent sur un score blanc à la pause.

La seconde période démarre sous de bons auspices, avec un jeu équilibré. Les joueurs de l’AS Pikine, aidés par le vent, poussent pour ouvrir le score. Ils ont failli même réussir puisque le portier rufisquois, Marc Diouf, sera sauvé par son défenseur qui dévie le cuir, suite à un corner (77′). 

L’équipe de Teungueth FC résiste et concède un troisième match nul à domicile qui lui permet de retrouver le fauteuil de leader, suite à la défaite de Dakar SC (0-2) face à Génération Foot.
