Jeux africains : la cérémonie d’ouverture ce vendredi, avec le ministre Lat Diop

La cérémonie d’ouverture des Jeux africains 2024 est prévue ce vendredi 08 mars au Ghana, avant le début des compétitions qui se dérouleront jusqu’au 24 mars. La délégation du Sénégal, avec à sa tête le ministre des Sports, Lat Diop, a quitté Dakar depuis mardi à destination d’Accra (Ghana).

Lat Diop représentera le président de la République, Macky Sall, à la cérémonie d’ouverture de la 13e édition des Jeux africains, ce vendredi, à Accra, qui sera le point de convergence des sportifs du continent durant 17 jours.

L’équipe sénégalaise, forte de 130 personnes, est composée d’athlètes, d’encadreurs techniques de médicaux et d’officiels.

Le Sénégal est engagé dans ces joutes quadriennales à travers 12 disciplines sportives, notamment l’athlétisme, le football U20 garçons et filles, le beach-volley hommes et dames, la natation, le badminton, le taekwondo, le karaté, le judo, la lutte olympique, le triathlon, le tennis de table et la boxe.
