Fermé depuis plusieurs années pour réfection, le stade Léopold Sédar Senghor sera ouvert au grand public en mars. L’enceinte de l’Amitié va enfin redémarrer ses activités. Un match de gala entre anciens internationaux sénégalais et français sera organisé dans ce stade, le 6 avril.
Une initiative d’Africa Sport Connecting (ASC) et International Sport Connecting (ISC), qui ont pour objectif de promouvoir le sport sénégalais et africain à l’échelle internationale vont s’associer pour un grand événement nommé « SENEGAL – FRANCE ».
« Il est prévu un match de légendes d’envergure internationale qui opposera les anciens joueurs du football mondial français, tels que , Robert Pires, Claude Makélélé , Franck Leboeuf, Youri djorkaeff , Mickael Sylvestre , Franck Sylvestre… contre d’anciens internationaux sénégalais. En outre, l’international brésilien Ronaldhino sera l’invité d’honneur de cet événement », indique un communiqué.
Parallèlement à l’aspect sportif, cet événement, selon les organisateurs, est marqué par une forte empreinte sociale et culturelle, avec la prestation d’icônes internationales de la culture sénégalaise, en l’occurrence Daara-J Family et l’artiste peintre Boubou Design, lors d’une soirée de gala.

Les organisateurs ont dit leur désir d’organiser à Léopold Sédar Senghor. Le ministère des sports avait répondu dans un communiqué que ce n’était pas encore à l’ordre du jour pour y organiser quoi que ce soit. Qui a la bonne décision entre ces deux parties? Ne faudrait-il pas poser la question aux organisateurs, à savoir ce qu’ils pensent de cette décision du Ministère des sports?
